Now Days of Wonder has released Heat: Legends, an expansion that adds six AI-driven Legend racers to fill out the grid when your group is smaller than you would like.
The Legends are not just placeholder cars. Each automated driver drafts, clears corners with precision, and unlocks powerful new abilities that keep races unpredictable. Three difficulty levels let you tune how aggressively the AI competes, so whether you want a casual pace-setter or a genuine threat, you can dial it in. The expansion adds orange, purple, and white cars to the existing roster, bringing new cards and abilities alongside them.
Heat, designed by Asger Harding Granerud and Daniel Skjold Pedersen with art by Vincent Dutrait, won the Golden Geek Award for Medium Game of the Year in 2022 and has built a loyal following through its blend of hand management and push-your-luck heat mechanics. The base game included a Legends automa system for solo play, and the Heavy Rain expansion previously introduced weather conditions, but the new Legends expansion takes AI opponents in a more ambitious direction, populating the track with drivers that behave more like human players.
Heat: Legends is compatible with all previous expansions, including Heavy Rain and Rocky Roads, and is available now at retail. It requires the base game to play.
