Werewolf 5E Brings Chronicle of the Black Labyrinth Back

Werewolf: The Apocalypse just got one of its weirdest, most beloved props back in print, and the new edition lands today, 13 May 2026. Renegade Game Studios has dropped a refreshed Chronicle of the Black Labyrinth, the first reprint in 30 years, retooled for the game's current 5th Edition rules. If your chronicle has wanted a sourcebook that doubles as an in-world prop, this is it.

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.

For the uninitiated, the book is presented as an in-world artefact: a guide to Wyrm cultists meant to be passed around the table as a prop while the Storyteller and players try to puzzle out the horrors of the World of Darkness. The reprint pulls in new and collected pages from the limited-edition Laws of the Wild (2001) and updates the lot for Werewolf 5E, the line Renegade has been steadily expanding since taking over the World of Darkness licence. Pre-orders come with a free PDF of the book at no extra charge.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse first hit tables in 1992 and has been one of the cornerstone World of Darkness games alongside Vampire: The Masquerade ever since. The original Chronicle of the Black Labyrinth was a 1996 release from White Wolf, infamous among long-time fans for being the kind of book that surfaces in second-hand shops at silly prices. With The Coming Destruction Chronicle landing in June, Renegade clearly has plans for the Garou line through the rest of the year.
