If you have spent the last seven seasons yelling at your screen because you also do not know what the rules are, Dropout has finally bottled it. Game Changer: Home Edition launches on Kickstarter on 5 May, bringing the streamer's chaotic comedy game show to the table as a party game where the rules shift every round.

Set up your group for freeGame Changer airs on Dropout, the indie comedy platform run by CEO Sam Reich, and the format is a perpetual rug-pull. Contestants arrive with no idea what they are playing, and the rules are revealed (or quietly mutated) as the episode unfolds. The home edition packages three different games into one box, each inspired by a specific episode and built around a different shifting-rule mechanic. Reich co-designed the box with veteran game designer Joshua Balvin, with input from the show's writers' room.
Reich has been clear about why this is a Kickstarter rather than a wholesale retail launch. The team wants backer feedback baked into the final design, and they are nervous about over-printing or under-printing what is, by their own admission, the most chaotic concept they have manufactured. The game will not be available at wholesale at launch, so the campaign will be the easiest way for UK fans to lock in a copy before second-hand prices on eBay get silly.
Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
See how it worksThere is no public price tag yet and the three included games have not been named, although Dropout has confirmed each is built around a different rules-mutation mechanic that mirrors the show's gradual descent into nonsense. Anyone who watched Sam Reich slowly realise he had been tricked again on Samalamadingdong already knows what they are signing up for.
If your regular game night thrives on awkward laughter rather than analysis paralysis, this looks like the perfect Friday-night box. Sign-ups for launch notifications are open at gamechangergame.com, and you can rally your group on Backseat Gamer once a copy lands.
