Judgment Day is coming to your game night. Cation Arts and STUDIOCANAL have revealed Terminator 2: The Board Game, a co-operative survival game for 1-3 players heading to Kickstarter later this year. If you've ever wanted to play through Judgment Day at the table, choosing how your team takes down Skynet, this is it.
Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
See how it worksDesigned by Mohamed Al Qadi of Abu Dhabi-based publisher Cation Arts (whose previous credit is All Time Wrestling, released in 2023), the game drops players into the roles of Sarah Connor, John Connor, and the T-800. Each session starts with the team picking one of three "final mission" objectives: Destroy Skynet, Hack Skynet, or Expose Skynet to the world. From there, you move across a modular board with randomised location layouts, completing objectives while surviving T-1000 attacks.
The T-1000 is not just a passive threat. It adapts based on player actions, with a noise mechanic tracking its movements. Encounters and ambushes are randomised, so each playthrough feels different. There is also a progression grid shared across all three characters, letting the team level up through gear, allies, dice upgrades, and ability unlocks. A four-player versus mode is included for groups who want someone controlling the machines.

Set up your group for freeOne standout detail: the entire game is illustrated in a hand-drawn comic book style by graphic novelist Soroush Barazesh of Koteri Ink. Al Qadi has confirmed no generative AI was used in the artwork. "It's not a comic, but that is the art feel we went with," he said.
No Kickstarter launch date has been set yet, but the official site is live at t2boardgame.com for anyone who wants to follow along.
