The Pokemon Company confirmed this week that Mega Evolution: Pitch Black, the second set in the new Mega Evolution block, lands in shops worldwide on 17 July 2026. The set runs over 115 cards with more than 35 special illustrations and over 20 Trainer cards. A brutal pair of attacks that will reshape the meta the moment Pitch Black goes legal.

The Pokemon Company is leaning hard into the Mega Evolution era after the original block ended back in 2016 with the XY-Evolutions set.
