Ork players have been asking for this one for a very long time. Games Workshop has revealed a brand new miniature for Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub, the Bad Moons warlord who has been all over Warhammer 40,000 fiction for decades without a model on shelves this century.

Start organising for freeIf the name is new to you, Nazdreg is the Ork who fought alongside Ghazghkull Thraka at Piscina IV and again on Armageddon, and who has picked fights with the Farsight Enclaves for good measure. Games Workshop calls him "the galaxy's greatest Bad Moon and undisputed second best Warboss in the universe", which is about as much respect as an Ork gets.
The sculpt is a careful update rather than a reinvention. He is in Mega Armour with the Kustom Blasta X mounted on his right arm, and the kneepads, gutplate and banner all nod back to the classic 2nd edition figure, with conquest glyphs stitched across the flag.

Find events near youOn the table he is a buff carrier who also hits like a dropped engine block. His unit gains Deep Strike and immunity to battleshock, he can react to enemy movement, ignore cover and call a Waaagh!, and his own shooting is unusually greedy: the Kustom Blasta X carries three profiles and fires all of them at once, hitting on 4s and still working in melee. The Moonchewa claw comes with Cleave and Damage 3 for anything that survives the shooting.
He arrives alongside Codex: Orks, which Games Workshop puts at a few weeks out. No price or firm date has been announced yet.
The other half of the reveal is arguably the bigger one. Nazdreg is confirmed for Total War: Warhammer 40,000, appearing as both a playable character and an opponent, and turning up in the early narrative events around Armageddon.
