Trick-taking games usually reward the player who can read the table and remember what has been played. Moustache would like to ruin that for you. This 3-6 player card game, already on UK shelves for £17 through Hachette Boardgames, reshuffles your teams at the start of every round and then changes the rules on top, so the alliance and plan you just nailed are gone before you can gloat.

Set up your group for freeThe cast helps sell the daftness: a walrus, a hamster, a pig, a unicorn and a pigeon, each sporting magnificent facial hair. Underneath the whiskers it is a proper trick-taker. Cards rank by colour first (green is weakest, then pink, orange and blue) and then by value, and you follow the leading colour if you can. Win tricks, bank stars for your team, simple enough. The twist is the deck of rule cards. Each round a new one flips over and joins the game: reversed colour hierarchies, wild jokers, sudden card effects. Nothing stays stable long enough to get comfortable.
That constant reshuffle makes it a lovely filler for game night, especially with a bigger, rowdier group where a fixed-partnership game can leave someone stuck with a duff hand all evening. At around 20 minutes a game it is easy to say "one more". Round up a few players and it will happily fill the gaps between the heavier boxes.
Run game nights? Backseat Gamer handles RSVPs, waitlists, date polling, and game voting so you can focus on playing.
