You buy up spots from Lumbridge and Varrock to the eerie mists of Canifis and the crystal city of Prifddinas, claim landmarks like Port Sarim and the Blue Moon Inn, and lean on your Construction skill to raise houses (player-owned houses, naturally) and upgrade them into castles. You earn GP as you go, collecting tips from players who stop off to use your gilded altars, while RuneScape-themed random events stand in for the usual Chance and Community Chest cards.
There are six themed tokens to squabble over, including Bob the Cat, a cabbage, a party hat and a dragon boot, which is about as RuneScape a line-up as you could hope for. It is the sort of in-joke-heavy licensed release that lives or dies on the details, and the details here look lovingly chosen.
