Atomic Mass Games has lifted the lid on the next two Marvel: Crisis Protocol Alliances boxes, and the X-Men and Avengers are up next. Attack of the Sentinels arrives in early 2027 with a Rogue, Gambit, Wolverine and Cyclops squad fighting off one Original Sentinel and three Prime Sentinels. The Once and Future Kang lands in Q2 2027, fielding Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man and Hawkeye against three time-displaced versions of Kang himself: Rama-Tut, Immortus and the Scarlet Centurion across the box's three linked scenarios.

See how it worksThe Alliances range spins out of Marvel: Crisis Protocol, Atomic Mass's tabletop skirmish game where you build squads of Marvel characters and roll custom dice to punch each other, into something closer to a co-op board game. Each box is a cooperative boss-battler for one to four players, runs 90 to 120 minutes, and uses push-fit "F.A.S.T. Minis" so you can be slinging dice within minutes of opening the box. Players earn XP through three linked scenarios and unlock Level Up cards to tweak their heroes between fights. There's one catch: if any hero is knocked out at any point, everyone loses. It's a cleaner on-ramp than Crisis Protocol's full skirmish rules, and the boxes are cross-compatible, so you can mix Spider-Heroes with X-Men once you've built up a collection.
First up though is Night of the Goblin, due later this year, which pits Spectacular Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, Black Cat and Ghost-Spider against Green Goblin and his 18 minions. Crisis Protocol veterans get a tighter game; Marvel fans get an easy first step into miniatures gaming.
