The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to your local card shop, and it arrives carrying a record. The Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, built by studio WeirdCo under an official CD Projekt Red licence, became the most-funded game in Kickstarter history, and its debut set, Welcome to Night City, lands in UK shops on 1 October 2026.

See how it worksThe campaign cleared its $100,000 goal within minutes. By the close it had gathered more than £20 million from close to 50,000 backers, sailing past the previous record held by Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere RPG. The debut set is built around the cast of the 2077 game, so expect Night City faces like V, Johnny Silverhand, Judy Álvarez and Jackie Welles staring out from your hand, with the Edgerunners crew from the Netflix series due to arrive fully in the second set. And yes, this is the collectible card game, a different beast from the Cyberpunk 2077 board game that crowdfunded separately on Gamefound.
For anyone wanting in, UK pre-orders are already live at shops like The Card Vault, where a Booster Box of 24 packs runs to £119.75 and the two starter decks, Embracing Power and The Heist, cost £29.95 each. Those ready-to-play starters are the gentle way in, since each comes with 40 cards and six dice for a game straight out of the box. New card games live or die on having people to play against, so once October rolls around it is worth finding a group to sling cards with.
