Brass: Pittsburgh, the latest entry in the acclaimed economic strategy series, has crossed $5 million on Gamefound with over 22,000 backers and five days left on the clock. The campaign ends April 12.
For context, Brass: Birmingham, the game that inspired this sequel, has held a spot in the BGG Top 3 for years and spent time as the number-one ranked board game on the platform. It is one of the most celebrated economic strategy games of the past decade. So when Roxley Games announced a follow-up co-designed by Gavan Brown and original Brass creator Martin Wallace, expectations were enormous. The campaign opened on March 24 and raised over $2 million on its first day alone.
Pittsburgh moves the series from Industrial Revolution England to America's Golden Age of industry. Players navigate the rise of steel, oil, and rail in 19th-century Pennsylvania, competing to build the most successful industrial empire. The game plays across two distinct eras, each with different networks to build, keeping the tight decision-making that made Birmingham a classic while introducing fresh mechanics.
The campaign offers a Standard Edition at $79 and a Collector's Edition with upgraded components. Roxley has confirmed the game will launch in seven languages from day one, and a recent backer vote selected the Steel Mill cover art for the retail edition.
If you have been on the fence, five days remain. The campaign closes April 12 on Gamefound.
