Exploding sheep, ninja ropes and a stiff digital breeze are heading back to the tabletop. Worms: The Board Game, UK studio Mantic Games' adaptation of the classic artillery video game, is available to pre-order again as a fresh reprint, with copies due to ship on 18 September 2026.
Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
See how it worksFor anyone who spent the late 1990s lobbing grenades at their friends' little pink invertebrates, the board game keeps the spirit intact. Two to four players send teams of worm miniatures scrambling across a destructible, tile-built landscape, grabbing weapons from supply crates and trying to blow each other into the drink. Wind direction nudges your shots off target, mines and oil drums litter the map, and the last player with worms wriggling wins. A game runs about 45 minutes and it is pitched at ages 10 and up.
The reprint box costs £50 and packs in 16 worm miniatures, crate, mine and oil-drum models, multi-hex map tiles, water hexes, a wind dial, more than 80 cards and five custom dice. It is credited to an original concept by Andy Davidson, and it leans hard into the daft, slapstick chaos that made the video game a classroom legend.
