UK Shops Can Grab a Splendor Tournament Kit Before 30 April

If you run a board game cafe, shop or club night, Asmodee has something for you. Asmodee is opening up Splendor organised play kits to game stores running Splendor events around International Tabletop Day on Saturday 6 June 2026, and registration closes on 30 April.

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.

See how it works

There are three flavours of event a shop can host. Two are casual tournaments using the Hobby Next format, with a kit of three metal privilege scrolls (gold, silver and bronze) for top finishers, 18 sets of four alternative royal cards, a poster, and a full tournament guide. The third is a demo activation running the whole of June, where staff use provided components to teach drop-in customers how to play. Stores registering also get a one-time 55% discount on qualifying Splendor product, handy for stocking up on prize support.

Splendor itself is a near-perfect teach game for newcomers. Marc André's 2014 gem-collecting card game plays in about half an hour for two to four players, sits at 7.4 on BoardGameGeek with more than 80,000 ratings, and was a Spiel des Jahres nominee the year it launched. That makes it an easy choice for a walk-in tournament where most players probably haven't played before.

This is a US-facing announcement through Asmodee's North American arm, but the UK wing often mirrors promotions, and any shop with access to Asmodee UK reps should ask about a kit. If you've been thinking about running a tournament night or an organised play event, this one is easy to pull off. Instantly teachable, 30-minute games, a genuine classic in a lightweight box.
