Talisman is heading somewhere darker. Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood is a new expansion for Avalon Hill's fantasy adventure game that drops Bram Stoker's Dracula into the middle of the board, and it lets you play as either the hunters or the Count himself.

Start organising for freeThis is the third Sagas expansion for the current Talisman, and the theme does a lot of work. Dracula's Castle sits at the centre of the map as the final destination, and you take on the roles of vampire hunters Mina Harker or Professor Van Helsing, gathering spells and magical objects as you push toward a final reckoning with the Count. Prefer to be the villain? Lift off the castle overlay and one player can take control of Dracula instead, working through the enigmatic Fanged Toad. The set also brings a new Ongoing Event card mechanic that keeps fresh trouble ticking away in the background.
In the box you get four detailed miniatures (Mina Harker, Van Helsing, Dracula and that Fanged Toad), a stack of spell and adventure cards, the Dracula's Castle overlay and the cards you need to field the new heroes. It plays 2 to 6, runs around one to two hours, and is aimed at ages 12 and up. One thing to be clear on: this is an expansion, so you will need a copy of the base Talisman to use it.
