Star Trek: Ascendancy, the sprawling 4X strategy game that lets you build a galactic civilisation as the Federation, Klingons, or Romulans, is getting the definitive treatment. Gale Force Nine has launched Star Trek Ascendancy: The Final Frontier on Gamefound, bundling the base game, every expansion civilisation, and a stack of brand-new content into one massive collection.

See how it worksThe original Ascendancy, released in 2016, earned a loyal following for capturing the feel of Star Trek better than most licensed games. Players explore an expanding galaxy of interconnected star systems, negotiate (or fight) with rival civilisations, and develop their empire's culture and technology. It played out like a proper episode of the show, complete with tense diplomacy and the occasional phaser exchange.
The Final Frontier edition adds three Gamefound-exclusive civilisations (the Gorn, Tholians, and Terran Empire) alongside returning packs for the Ferengi, Cardassian, Vulcan, Andorian, Borg, and Breen. The box contains over 200 plastic miniatures and 30 star systems representing notable planets from across the franchise.

Set up your group for freeTwo headline additions stand out. A campaign mode introduces linked scenarios for ongoing play, and an automated civilisation system means you can finally play solo or add AI-controlled factions to fill out larger games. The rules have also been streamlined based on years of community feedback.
Delivery is expected by September 2026. If you bounced off the original because it needed too many expansion boxes to shine, this all-in collection looks like the version to try.
