Find events near youThe setup: the starship Deepspace Horizon has been drifting dark and silent for 57 years, somewhere out beyond the charted lanes. You and up to five rivals are the salvagers who finally go in after it. Designed by Mark Prentice for 2 to 6 players in around 30 to 45 minutes, Space Junkers gives each player a hand of three action dice. Every round you secretly choose one, and your pick sets your movement, your combat punch and the special action you can pull off. Players then resolve their choices in a flexible order, so every round becomes a little tactical puzzle of who commits to what.
What makes it stand out is the ship itself, a proper 3D model built from three stacked decks. You clamber through its corridors and out across the hull, looting, shooting and dodging as you go, while random event cards keep things dangerous with security bots, alien attacks and asteroid strikes. All the while you are chasing secret personal missions and hauling away as much salvage as you can carry.
