Sagrada is getting a proper expansion. Floodgate Games has put the Panorama Expansion on pre-order at $29.95, bringing six-player support and a batch of new components to the dice-drafting favourite that has been a game night fixture since 2017.
Designed by Adrian Adamescu and Daryl Andrews (the same team behind the original), Panorama adds a new dice tray, expanded player boards, personal Lightboards, six new tool cards, shared objectives, and focal point private objectives. One important compatibility note: Panorama requires the Sagrada Refresh Edition as its base game, not the original 2017 print run. The Refresh Edition updated the components and packaging while keeping the gameplay identical, so if you have an older copy, you will need to upgrade before picking this up.
The headline feature is bumping the player count from four to six, making Sagrada viable for larger groups without sacrificing the tight, puzzly feel that earned it a Wirecutter recommendation and a spot in Ars Technica's board game gift guide.
For anyone unfamiliar, Sagrada has players drafting colourful dice and placing them into personal stained-glass window patterns, balancing placement restrictions against scoring objectives. It plays in about 30-45 minutes, sits at a comfortable medium-light complexity, and looks gorgeous on the table. The simplicity of "pick a die, place a die" paired with the crunch of working around restrictions has made it one of the hobby's most reliable introductory games.
The Panorama Expansion releases this month.
