Rosalie: A Rosy Game of Gardening looks like the gentlest cosy game on the shelf, then hands you a two-to-three-hour economic Euro about loans, interest and market timing. It is one of the more interesting things on Kickstarter right now, and it is finally getting an English edition.

On one side you nurture and crossbreed rare roses and deploy caretaker robots to automate the fiddly upkeep. On the other you juggle cash flow, taking on debt to grow faster while the interest quietly mounts up. The publisher’s own description leans into the tension: borrow well and your garden blooms; borrow badly and you drown in repayments. Six characters in the base game, plus two more in a simultaneously released expansion, each bring distinct abilities that keep the strategy shifting from game to game.
This is the kind of chunky, brain-burning design that usually stays locked to a Japanese print run, so it is a treat to see it going west. Localiser Hive Interactive is handling the international campaign, with a standard edition around $88 and shipping estimated for backers outside Japan, so UK gamers can pledge directly rather than hunting an import later.
