Few Pokemon get collectors as excited as Rayquaza, and its Mega form, a fan favourite since it first soared into the games in 2014, is about to headline its own card set. The Pokemon Company has revealed Delta Reign, the next English Pokemon Trading Card Game expansion, arriving on 6 November 2026.

See how it worksDelta Reign is the sixth set in the current Mega Evolution era, built around Mega Rayquaza alongside other Pokemon pulled from the recent game Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Early set lists point to a Mega Rayquaza ex as the marquee card, the kind of chase pull that has people queuing outside shops. Rayquaza's last big set, 2021's Evolving Skies, is still talked about as one of the era's most significant releases, so a fresh dragon set is a genuine event for collectors. It follows Pitch Black, the Mega Darkrai set, so the run of heavy-hitting legendary draws is not slowing down.
A Japanese counterpart, Storm Emeralda, lands first over the summer, and there is also a Pokemon TCG Pocket set, Ruler of the Skies, planned for players who collect on their phones.
