Nemesis Legacy Brings the First-Ever Campaign to the Horror Hit

Nemesis, the semi-cooperative sci-fi horror game where trust is a liability and aliens are everywhere, is getting a legacy campaign. Awaken Realms has announced Nemesis Legacy, the first full campaign experience set in the Nemesis universe, with a crowdfunding campaign launching on Gamefound in Q4 2026.

For a franchise built on one-shot tension, this is a big shift. In standard Nemesis, you wake from hibernation on a damaged spaceship, draw room tiles as you explore, manage action cards, and try to complete personal objectives while alien intruders hunt by noise. Every player has a hidden agenda, and some of those agendas are not friendly. The paranoia-fuelled gameplay is a natural fit for the legacy format: lose a crew member in session two, and you'll feel it in session five. It's the kind of setup that turns game nights into appointment viewing.

The original Nemesis (2018, designed by Adam Kwapinski) sits above 8.0 on BoardGameGeek and has grown through Lockdown and Retaliation, but a full legacy campaign is new territory for the franchise.
