Monsters Inc. Joins Lorcana in Attack of the Vine! This July

Pixar's takeover of Disney Lorcana is only getting started. Wilds Unknown brings Toy Story, Brave, and The Incredibles to the card pool in May, and Ravensburger confirmed on 14 April that a second Pixar-heavy set is right behind it.

Attack of the Vine! hits local game stores on 17 July for prerelease events, with a full retail launch on 24 July. Mike Wazowski, Sulley, and Boo from Monsters, Inc. make their Lorcana debut alongside Meilin Lee from Turning Red and characters from Up. Until 2026, Lorcana drew exclusively from Walt Disney Animation Studios properties, so two Pixar sets in three months represents a major expansion of the game's universe.

A set called Hyperia City follows in Q4 2026, featuring Coco characters including Miguel. Ravensburger has not confirmed a specific release date yet, but prerelease events at local game stores are expected.

Alongside the set reveals, Ravensburger confirmed Lorcana's first-ever dedicated prerelease kits, launching on 8 May with Wilds Unknown. Each kit includes six booster packs, one of six exclusive promo cards, and themed extras. Until now, Lorcana launch events at game stores have been informal affairs without standardised product. The new format gives stores a structured event to run, similar to what Magic: The Gathering has done for decades.

Three Lorcana products across spring, summer, and autumn, plus a proper prerelease format, give game stores three built-in moments to bring players together. If your game night has a Lorcana-curious contingent, the July prerelease is the cleanest entry point: structured events, sealed product, no collection required.
