Marvel Crisis Protocol Adds Asgardian and Guardians Starter Sets

Atomic Mass Games has dropped its full 2026-2027 roadmap for Marvel: Crisis Protocol, and it's a dense one. Two new starter sets, a heavily anticipated Sentinel storyline, and Onslaught looming as the next big bad to round out the year.

Two faction starter boxes are the headline. The Asgardian Starter Set leads with Thor and Mjolnir alongside cards, tokens and the Asgardian core squad, while the Guardians of the Galaxy Starter pairs nicely with the existing Guardians affiliation. AMG has confirmed both will hit at the same price point as the existing X-Men and Avengers starter sets, which keeps the entry price for a new faction below most equivalent miniatures games.

The juicier reveal is Operation: Zero Tolerance, a story arc lifted straight from the 1997 X-Men comics event where the X-Men get hunted by the Prime Sentinels. The first wave brings character packs for Bastion, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel, three Sentinel-flavoured villains with very different rule sets, alongside a new Crisis Card Pack of mutant-vs-Sentinel scenarios. AMG's tagline for the announcement reel was "Bastion depowers. Nimrod hunts. Prime Sentinels hide in plain sight," which suggests asymmetric mechanics tied to each villain.

Late 2026 turns toward Onslaught, described in AMG's roadmap as "one of the deadliest villains ever," and Dark Dimension-themed terrain. There's also fresh momentum behind Marvel Crisis Protocol: Alliances, the cooperative spin-off line, with the "Night of the Goblin" Spider-characters set targeting early September 2026.
