Wingspan Americas Expansion Now Available at Retail

The Wingspan Americas Expansion is now available at local game shops and online retailers, following its initial release through Stonemaier's webstore in January.

Designed by Elizabeth Hargrave, this fourth expansion covers the birds of Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, a region home to more than 3,000 species. That includes the bird with the smallest wingspan in the world (the Bee Hummingbird) and the largest (the Snowy Albatross), both of which feature in the expansion.

The standout new mechanic is hummingbird mini-cards. These smaller cards sit on your garden boards and travel between them, providing different benefits as they move. It is a simple addition that adds a new layer of decision-making without overcomplicating things, which is exactly the kind of design that has made Wingspan expansions feel like genuine additions rather than bloat.

The expansion also includes vision-friendly cards available as an add-on, continuing Stonemaier's commitment to accessibility. Illustrations come from Natalia Rojas, Ana Maria Martinez Jaramillo, and Martha Clare, and the art quality remains as gorgeous as fans have come to expect from the series.

For existing Wingspan fans, this is a straightforward recommendation. The new birds and the hummingbird mechanic give you fresh strategic options without requiring you to relearn the game. For anyone who has been curious about Wingspan but has not taken the plunge, the base game plus this expansion makes for a very strong combination.

Retail availability began on 13th March at online stores, so stock should be landing at your local shop now if it has not already.
