Let's Go! To France Is AEG's Next Trip-Planning Game

Fancy planning a French holiday without the airport queues? AEG's Let's Go! To France is the standalone follow-up to the warmly received Let's Go! To Japan, and it has sailed past its funding goal on Kickstarter. From designer Josh Wood, it is a breezy trip-planning card game for 1 to 4 players, aged 10 and up, that runs about 45 minutes.

Got a regular group? Create a private community, poll for the best date, vote on games, and let your friends RSVP in one place.

If you missed the original, the Let's Go! series is all about drafting activity cards and slotting them into an itinerary, building combos that pay off when you set out on your trip. France keeps that satisfying puzzle but adds a regional map: you earn travel tickets to hop between spots like the French Riviera and the Loire Valley chateaux, chasing location bonuses as you go.

The sequel tidies up a few things from Japan. Gone are the two-city train rules and separate decks. In their place is a single deck and a time-and-energy tracker that carries across your days, so a packed schedule early on leaves you flagging later. It is pitched as a touch meatier than the original while staying family-friendly. Pledges start at around £39 ($49) for the standard edition, with a deluxe "Bon Voyage" version at roughly £63 ($79).

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.

Backers face the usual crowdfunding wait before it ships, but the strong response suggests plenty of appetite for more low-stress, good-looking euros you can teach in minutes. It is the sort of game that suits a relaxed table, so when it lands, rally a group for a chilled game night.
