Leeds Board Game Convention Brings 500+ Games to Garforth

If you are anywhere near the north of England and fancy a full weekend of tabletop, block out 25 and 26 July. Leeds Board Game Convention is back at the Holiday Inn in Garforth, just outside Leeds, and tickets are on sale, though Saturday has already sold out so it is Sunday passes only now.

The draw is a library of more than 500 games to borrow and play, including plenty of deluxe and special editions you might never get your hands on otherwise. Fans of the social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower are well catered for, with sessions run by the Chance and Clockers team. There is a vendor area with demos and retail from publishers, quiet gaming spaces for anyone who needs a calmer corner, and a pop-up from the Chance & Counters board game cafe to keep you fed and watered. This year's charity raffle supports the Rob Burrow MND Centre.

Regional conventions like this are the backbone of the UK hobby, the place where you meet the people you end up gaming with for years. If you are heading along, it is the perfect excuse to rally your group for the trip, or to organise a meetup at the show so you are not wandering the halls alone. Two days and 500 games is a lot of game night to pack in.
