Almighty Is a Goofy God Game Heading to UK Games Expo

If your group enjoys games that reward being a bit of a menace, keep an eye out for Almighty: The Godliest God Game at UK Games Expo this week. It casts one to four players as petty, squabbling deities all competing for the worship of the same put-upon mortals, and it is one of the more characterful indie titles on the show floor.

Designed and hand-illustrated by Malachi Ray Rempen for UK studio Keen Bean, Almighty is an asymmetric card game where you play action cards onto shared lands to win belief and glory. You bless, curse and outright smite the little mortals scuttling around the board, manipulating their abilities to chain combos as the game goes on. Each of the four gods comes with its own deck, so they all play differently. The official pitch sets the tone nicely: "You are a powerful and moody ancient god! And YOU deserve the most offerings, the most belief, the most glory!" Every card is drawn by Rempen himself, which gives the whole thing a distinctive cartoonish look.

Almighty funded on Kickstarter earlier this year, following demos at UK Games Expo and Spiel Essen back in 2025, and it returns to Birmingham's NEC for the 20th-anniversary UKGE on Keen Bean's stand. The studio has said it is leaning on crowdfunding rather than a big retail run, so a convention table may be one of the easier places to get hands on it. If you are heading to the show, give it a demo for the comedy alone.
