Kemet: The Gates of Thonis Brings New Maps to Gamefound

If your group still argues about the strongest opening in Kemet, here is fresh ground to fight over. Kolossal Games has taken Kemet: The Gates of Thonis to Gamefound, a new set of maps and tiles for the area-control favourite Kemet: Blood and Sand.

Run game nights? Backseat Gamer handles RSVPs, waitlists, date polling, and game voting so you can focus on playing.

Kemet: Blood and Sand is the current edition of the Egyptian-mythology war game where you march armies, buy divine powers and score by attacking rather than sitting back, which is why it holds a spot in so many collections. The Gates of Thonis is not a new standalone game but an expansion, promising new maps and tiles that Kolossal says "add strategic depth" to the base game. The set takes its name from Thonis, the real Egyptian port city that vanished beneath the Mediterranean centuries ago, giving the pharaohs a suitably dramatic new frontier.

Expansions like this live and die on whether they shake up a game that regulars have started to feel they have solved, and fresh maps are the most direct way to do it. New terrain rewrites chokepoints, moves temples around and changes the maths of who can reach whom and when, which is the heart of what makes Kemet tick.

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
