Harmonies: Pulse Brings Trickier Puzzles to UK Tables

If Harmonies has become your group's go-to gateway game, there is a cheap new reason to get it back on the table. Libellud has put out Pulse, the first mini-expansion for the hit landscape-building puzzle game, and it reaches UK shops on 26 June 2026 for just £4.99.

Harmonies, designed by Johan Benvenuto, arrived in 2024 and quickly became one of the most-loved family games of recent years. You build a little 3D landscape on your board out of stacked coloured tokens, then attract animals that each want their habitat arranged just so. It is calming to look at and quietly brutal to optimise, which is why it sits around 8.0 on BoardGameGeek and picked up a Spiel des Jahres recommendation in 2024.

Pulse adds 10 new animal cards, and the twist is that they ask for three-colour patterns for the first time. Until now Harmonies animals wanted one or two colours of terrain in a particular shape; juggling three at once means more planning and a lot more agonising over where each token goes. The expansion also introduces mirroring, letting you flip a pattern as well as rotate it, which opens up placements that were previously impossible. It is a small box that sharpens the puzzle for players who already have the base game humming.

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.

See how it works

At under a fiver it is an easy add for anyone who plays Harmonies regularly. And because Harmonies is one of the best games going for teaching a brand-new player, it makes a fine centrepiece if you have been meaning to get friends into the hobby. Set up a learn-to-play night and see who turns up.
