The auction system is famously tight, every player runs the round as the auctioneer in turn, and the whole thing wraps in about 90 minutes once you know what you're doing. It rates 7.55 on BGG from over 12,000 votes and earned a nomination for the 2004 International Gamers Award. Dorn has since gone on to design Karuba and the Kennerspiel-winning Istanbul, but Goa is where a lot of people first noticed him.
Quined's new edition keeps the 2014 revised rules intact and leans on updated artwork by Naïade, the artist behind Tokaido and Seasons. The pledge starts at €59 and includes the new solo mode for anyone who wants to run Goa on a quiet evening. Backers are well above target, with the campaign set to close late Saturday.
