Only your two worst scores count. That is the rule at the heart of Gaudí, the game leading Devir's autumn line-up into the main hall display case at Gen Con next week and heading its SPIEL Essen slate.
Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
See how it worksIt is a Euro about the life and work of Antoni Gaudí, for 1 to 4 players aged 10 and up. Devir lists it at an hour, though ICv2 has it at 40 minutes. You bank victory points in three pillars, Nature, Catalonia and Religion, and at the end only your two lowest pillar scores are added up. Running away with one and ignoring another gets you nowhere.
On your turn you move around a central Chandelier on the main board, effectively a rondel, stopping to draw cards and collect Trencadís tiles. Trencadís is Catalan for "a lot of little broken things", the smashed-ceramic mosaic style Gaudí is famous for. Over three rounds you arrange those tiles into patterns on your personal board and climb your Chimneys. Each pillar pays out at a different moment: Nature through cards, Catalonia at the end of each round, Religion at the very end.

Find events near youDesigner Dani Garcia has quietly built one of the more dependable back catalogues in modern Euro design, with Arborea, Barcelona, Windmill Valley and Daitoshi behind him. In January 2025 he announced he had been diagnosed with ALS, saying he wanted to focus on "what fulfills me most: creating games and spending time with my family". Gaudí, illustrated by Edu Valls, is the next of those games, and Devir's own marketing calls it the publisher's most anticipated release of the year.
US retail is 26 September 2026 at $49.99, with Gaudí heading Devir's SPIEL Essen releases. Also in the case at Gen Con: party game Risky Mixes, mid-weight Euro Shugendo from Simone Luciani and Alessandro Cuneo, plus Níjar and Boeki.
