Renegade's Dungeon Crawler Carl crowdfunder has rolled past $9.2 million with 39,001 backers and 11 days still on the clock. The campaign launched on 14 April with a $250,000 goal, and at this pace it's set to land among the biggest tabletop RPG crowdfunds ever recorded.

See how it worksRenegade is no stranger to big licensed RPGs, having shipped Vampire: The Masquerade 5e, the G.I. Joe RPG and the Power Rangers RPG, so backers aren't going in blind on fulfilment. The campaign bundles two games. The Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG is a skill-based TTRPG with 30-plus playable races, a 300-page core rulebook covering floors three to five, and a starter set for tutorial floors. Sitting alongside it is Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable, a solo and co-op card-crafting deckbuilder set in the same brutal universe. Pledges include pre-painted miniatures, polyhedral dice sets, a GM screen with reference tables, and a Season 1 content pass that runs ten digital drops through October 2027. Backers pledging $150 or more can split payments over four months at no interest.
The hype tracks the source material. Matt Dinniman's LitRPG series has sold over six million copies, the eighth novel A Parade of Horribles drops 12 May, and Universal International Studios picked up the TV rights for a Peacock series with Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door producing and Chris Yost adapting. Renegade also launched with 65,000 followers on the campaign page, the most for any TTRPG crowdfunder at the time. The campaign hit $4.9 million on day one, crossed $7.25 million by 23 April, and now sits over $9 million.
