The Sanderson Sisters are finally getting their claws into a board game. Ravensburger's Disney Villainous: Darkness Brewing, out this August, is the first box in the asymmetric Villainous series to pack four playable villains into one set, and it hands you the Hocus Pocus witches as a brand-new character.

Find events near youIf you have not played it before, Disney Villainous is a strategy game where each player controls a different Disney bad guy, working through their own deck and board to pull off a personal scheme before anyone else manages theirs. Darkness Brewing lines up Ursula, the Evil Queen, Maleficent and the Sanderson Sisters, with Winifred, Mary and Sarah controlled together as one villain. The witches win by brewing their life potion and tricking one of the heroes, Max, Danni or Allison, into drinking it. Ravensburger is pitching the box as a friendlier way in for newcomers, since four villains in one purchase means a full game night without tracking down separate stand-alone packs.
With Disney Villainous approaching its tenth anniversary, getting the Sanderson Sisters to the table just before spooky season is a neat bit of timing. Look for it around August at roughly £27 ($34.99), for two to four players aged 10 and up. If Hocus Pocus at the table sounds like your kind of evening, it might be worth rallying a group before Halloween rolls around.
