The official Cyberpunk Trading Card Game has wrapped up its Kickstarter campaign at $26,953,978 from 47,676 backers, making it the most-funded tabletop game in crowdfunding history. The campaign closed on 17 April after a month-long run, nearly doubling the previous record held by the Cosmere RPG at $15.15 million.

Start organising for freeWeirdCo, the Seattle-based studio behind the game, reached its $100,000 goal within minutes of launch. The total kept climbing, passing Cosmere on 31 March and eventually landing as the third most-funded Kickstarter project of all time in any category, behind only the eufyMake UV Printer ($46.7 million) and Brandon Sanderson's Four Secret Novels ($41.7 million).
The game is a competitive TCG where players assemble crews of characters from the Cyberpunk 2077 and Edgerunners universes, including V, Johnny Silverhand, David Martinez, and Lucy Kushinada, then battle head-to-head using decks built around Night City's factions. Backers who pledged $375 (roughly GBP 295) or more will receive express shipping in Q3 2026, with a second fulfilment wave following in Q4.

The studio is using a print-on-demand model so that all Kickstarter backers and licensed pre-orders placed by 1 May receive guaranteed allocation. That approach could set a precedent for how future card games handle their initial supply.
With nearly 48,000 people now waiting for decks, Night City is about to get a lot more crowded at kitchen tables worldwide.
