Brandon Sanderson fans waiting for the Mistborn side of the Cosmere RPG just got the update they wanted. Brotherwise Games confirmed in late March that the Mistborn Handbook and Mistborn World Guide have both been sent to the printer, with a retail release set for November 2026.
The Cosmere RPG launched with the Stormlight Archive set in late 2025, backed by one of the largest tabletop RPG Kickstarter campaigns ever, raising over $15 million from more than 55,000 backers across Kickstarter and BackerKit. The Stormlight books proved popular enough to require a second printing by January 2026, so the Mistborn expansion arrives with serious momentum behind it.
The 405-page Mistborn Handbook is a standalone core rulebook covering all the rules you need to play in any Cosmere setting. The Mistborn World Guide focuses on Scadrial, where you will be burning metals to fling coins through guards, pulling on emotions to manipulate nobles, and storing physical attributes in metalminds. If you have read the novels, you already know this magic system is built for tabletop play. A third book, Mistborn: Legacy, has been submitted to the factory for printing, giving players a full campaign to dive into once everything ships.
The retail release in November should make these available at your local game shop. Given how quickly the Stormlight set flew off shelves, putting your name down early might be wise.
