Level 99 Games are back on Gamefound with two new expansions for it, and the Bullet Galaxy campaign has raised more than $413,000 from over 3,270 backers against a $30,000 goal. It closes at 5pm on Wednesday 29 July, having opened on 7 July and passed its goal fourteen minutes later.

For anyone who has not met it, Level 99 pitch Bullet as a "real-time, SHMUP-inspired, puzzle-battle game about magical space heroines". You are pattern-matching your way out of an incoming curtain of bullets while shovelling your problems onto everyone else, in real time, on your own board. That means no downtime, which is why the player count works. The campaign lists 50 heroines to pick between, with games running 15 to 20 minutes for one to eight players.

Start organising for freeEight players in twenty minutes is the number worth staring at. Most games that seat that many are party games; very few are actually tactical.
