KPop Demon Hunters, the Netflix animated sensation that had half the country humming its songs last year, is making the jump to the tabletop, and it has picked a clever engine to do it. Z-Man Games has announced KPop Demon Hunters: Battle for the Spotlight, a team-based card game built on the ever-popular Love Letter system.

Set up your group for freeIf you have somehow avoided it, KPop Demon Hunters follows the girl group HUNTR/X, who moonlight as demon slayers, against the demonic boy band the Saja Boys. Battle for the Spotlight leans straight into that rivalry: 2 to 6 players split into two teams and fight it out in front of a live audience, playing character cards to sway the crowd while reading the stage for bluffs and double-crosses. Games run about 15 minutes, so it is a quick filler you can teach in a couple of rounds.
The Love Letter roots are a smart choice. That microgame turned a tiny deck of cards into one of the hobby's most-copied designs, and its creator Seiji Kanai is credited here alongside Waleed Ma'arouf. Reworking its bluffing and hand-management into a noisy team tug-of-war is a neat twist for a franchise all about performing under pressure.

Battle for the Spotlight is due out later in 2026. It is an easy shout for game nights with friends who have seen the film, so gather your group and pick a side.
