Brass: Pittsburgh Clears All Stretch Goals as Roxley Axes Algorithm

Roxley Games has announced that every stretch goal for Brass: Pittsburgh is now funded. The Gamefound campaign has hit over 2.4 million euros from more than 12,500 backers, reaching 559% of its original target.

But the milestone came with an admission. Roxley revealed that the algorithm they'd been using to set stretch goal funding thresholds was responsible for the odd gaps between targets that had frustrated backers. The algorithm has been "immediately stopped," and the studio acknowledged the confusion it caused.

Brass: Pittsburgh is the next game in the Brass series, following Brass: Birmingham, which spent two years as the #1 ranked game on BoardGameGeek and currently sits at #3. The new game moves the action to America's Gilded Age, swapping canals for pipelines and railways as players build industrial empires in the Steel Belt.

The campaign funded its initial goal in 43 minutes and 32 seconds when it launched in late March. Among the unlocked stretch goals is an upgrade from cloth bags to custom metal tins for component storage, which drew some of the loudest cheers from the community.

If you've been watching from the sidelines, the campaign remains live on Gamefound. And if you're the sort of gamer who likes building industrial networks and undercutting your friends' iron prices, this one's worth a look. Maybe even rally your group to find a game night near you to try the original while you wait.
