Asmodee has spun up a new studio aimed squarely at the friends who turn up to game night for the laughs rather than the rulebook, and its first four party titles land on UK shelves this July. Moodbox Games leads with Guess the Mess, a fast deduction game about decoding your friends' nonsense, arriving on 24 July 2026 for £19.99.

Find events near youIn Guess the Mess, designed by Jack Degnan, every player gets a secret location and builds a hand of cryptic "mess" cards as clues to it. You pass your pile around the table and race to work out where everyone else is hiding, with quicker correct guesses scoring more. It plays 3 to 6 in around 20 to 30 minutes for ages eight and up. Three more games round out the debut slate. Link Out Loud, from Jeremy Posner and Ken Gruhl (the latter a co-designer of the party hit Happy Salmon), is a team word-association race. Photo Dump, by Annika Wierichs, is a co-op storyteller that turns the camera roll already on your phone into clues, so every game leans on your own holidays, pets and questionable nights out. And Who Says? Friends, by Lloyd Mintz, is a quote-guessing game for people who can recite films line for line.
Moodbox is Asmodee's push to reach players beyond the usual hobby crowd, the sort who own one party box and dust it off at Christmas. All four titles are due across UK shops from 24 July.
