You explore three districts, the market, the artisan quarter and the noble district, building a hand of cards before raiding Silverfang Manor for its treasures, according to Wargamer. The art you are pinching is a set of fox parodies of real masterpieces, including "The Squeal," a lupine take on Munch's The Scream. A "guards" mechanic can lock a deck away from both players, and a catch-up system means racing into an early lead just paints a target on your back for the other thief.
Highly interactive two-player games, the mean and quick kind, are having a real moment, and Artifox is chasing the same table space as clever duels like Air, Land & Sea. Octo Push describes it on its Gamefound page as a game "full of tricks and traps," and the animal-heist art is exactly the sort of thing that gets passed around a group chat.
