Alderac Entertainment Group has revealed Assemble!, a superhero card game where building the perfect team takes just 15 minutes and costs less than a round of drinks at the pub.

See how it worksDesigned by Remo Conzadori and Stefano Negro, the Italian pair who previously co-designed Amul, Assemble! has two to four players drafting from an array of heroes: leaders, tacticians, tanks, and wild cards. On your turn, you draft, play, and position cards to form your squad, with each hero unlocking new abilities based on where they sit in your lineup. The goal? Assemble the most effective team by the final round.
At $12.99 (roughly £10), this sits in that sweet spot where you can impulse-buy it without checking your bank balance first. The 10 to 15 minute play time means it works as a warm-up before the main event or as a quick closer when the heavier game has taken its toll. It supports two to four players and is aimed at ages 10 and up.
