Werewolf: The Apocalypse Coming Destruction Chronicle Drops in June

Renegade Game Studios is rounding out a busy year for Werewolf: The Apocalypse 5th Edition with The Coming Destruction Chronicle, a hefty new campaign book due to hit shelves in June. If you've been picking at the line since the core rulebook landed in August 2023, this is the closest the system has come to a turn-key year of play.

The pitch is modular. The book holds 23 stories grouped into four connected arcs, which you can run as a long chronicle or pull single tales out for one-shot nights. There are 10 recurring Storyteller characters who can serve as mentors, rivals or foils, plus 8 locations and 3 Septs to fight over. Renegade describes it as both a teaching tool for new Storytellers and a drag-and-drop toolbox for veterans, which is the right pitch for a system whose lore has always intimidated newcomers.

This sits in a maturing line. Werewolf 5e has been ticking along with Free RPG Day's Red Tundra in 2024, the Scent of Decay Chronicle Book later that year, and the Wyrmtide Sourcebook in September 2025, which reviewers reckoned was the strongest supplement yet. The Coming Destruction is the first attempt at a single book big enough to carry a group through dozens of sessions.

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
