Take Time has spent 2026 collecting trophies, and now it is getting its first expansion. Libellud has announced Take Time: Mirage, an add-on for the cooperative card game that was recently named Austria's Spiel der Spiele game of the year, having already picked up the Swiss Gamers Award. If your group fell for the base game, this is more of the good stuff.
Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
See how it worksFor the uninitiated, Take Time is a cooperative, limited-communication card game from Libellud, the studio behind Dixit and Mysterium. The base box tasks the whole table with clearing 40 unique challenges together while carefully managing how little you are allowed to say to one another, which is exactly the sort of tense, chatty puzzle that plays well with mixed groups. Designed by Alexi Piovesan and Julien Prothiere with art from Maud Chalmel, it hits a sweet spot of clever without being heavy.
Mirage requires the base game and layers new toys on top. It brings a set of new clocks with their own unique mechanisms, a fresh thematic thread built around an elusive creature called the Sand Bird, and a module that lets you remix the clocks from the base game for extra replayability. It stays at 2 to 4 players, about 30 minutes, for ages 10 and up.

Find events near youThe expansion is due in UK shops on 2 October 2026 with a friendly recommended price of £7.99, so it is an easy top-up rather than a big investment. If Take Time has become a reliable closer at your sessions, rally the regulars and pencil in a Mirage night for the autumn.
