Tabletop Scotland 2026 Returns to Edinburgh in September

Scotland's biggest tabletop weekend is back. Tabletop Scotland returns to the Royal Highland Centre near Edinburgh from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September 2026, and if you have never made the trip north, this is the year to fix that.

It started life in Perth and grew so fast it had to move, decamping to the much larger Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston in 2024. It is now comfortably the largest tabletop games event ever held in Scotland and one of the biggest in the UK, the kind of show where you can lose a whole day and barely scratch the surface.

So what is actually on? The games library lets you borrow and try hundreds of titles before you buy, the Bring and Buy is a treasure hunt for second-hand bargains, and there are tournaments, roleplaying and Dungeons & Dragons sessions, seminars and a packed trade hall running across all three days. If you are bringing people who are new to the hobby, the Gateway Zone is built to ease them in gently, and budding designers can show off prototypes in the Playtest Zone and Game Jam. Opening hours run from midday on the Friday through to 5pm on the Sunday, with late play into the evening on the Friday and Saturday. Tickets went on sale on 28 March and are available online or on the door.

It is a long way to go solo, so it is well worth rounding up your regular group. Agree a day, grab a table in the open play hall to run your own games between the tournaments, and arrange to meet other gamers heading up. If you want a hand coordinating it all, you can set up a community to keep everyone on the same page.

If you have been meaning to go for years, 2026 is the one. Sort the lift, sort the tickets, and we will see you in the open play hall.
