Netflix's Squid Game is crossing over into Zombicide with a standalone expansion for Zombicide: 2nd Edition, arriving at retail in June 2026. First revealed at Spiel Essen last October, the expansion is now available for pre-order from retailers across the UK and Europe.
The expansion drops survivors onto a mysterious island where the usual zombie hordes are joined by the calculating Frontman, his ruthless Guards, and the iconic Young-hee the Doll, who stalks the map hunting for movement. Five thematic missions recreate locations from the Netflix series, blending Zombicide's cooperative survival gameplay with the show's tense, elimination-style atmosphere. The game supports 1 to 6 players and plays in about 60 minutes, making it a solid pick for groups who want their game night with a side of dread. You do not need to have watched the show for the mechanics to work, but fans of the series will get the most out of the mission themes.
This is one of the more unusual crossovers in Zombicide's history. The franchise has previously pulled in Marvel and DC superheroes, but a Netflix live-action thriller is a different fit entirely. The expansion is published by Guillotine Games under Asmodee's umbrella, following last year's acquisition of the Zombicide IP from CMON. It requires the Zombicide: 2nd Edition core box to play and carries a recommended retail price of around £50 in the UK.
If you are the type to theme your entire game night around a show, this could be your excuse. The expansion is rated for ages 14 and up, which feels about right for a game where the threat is zombies and a ruthless dystopian competition in equal measure.
