Good news for anyone who likes their dice with a side of adorable dogs. Spots, the push-your-luck dice game from US publisher CMYK, is joining VR Distribution's UK retail line-up and getting its in-person push at UK Games Expo, running from 29 to 31 May.
Run game nights? Backseat Gamer handles RSVPs, waitlists, date polling, and game voting so you can focus on playing.
Start organising for freeIf you have not met it, Spots is a quick game about rolling dice and collecting dogs. On your turn you roll and place dice onto your dog cards, matching the spots shown. Any dice you cannot place get buried in your yard. Bury too many and you bust, losing the progress from that turn. Fill out six dogs and you win. It plays fast for one to four people.
Shut Up & Sit Down clocks a game at 25 to 35 minutes, with the gentle-but-real tension that makes good filler games sing. It was designed by Jon Perry alongside Alex Hague and Justin Vickers, and the deck is packed with dozens of hand-drawn dogs from illustrator John Bond. It has picked up a Dice Tower Seal of Approval and a GeekDad Approved badge along the way.
Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
See how it worksHaving Spots stocked through a UK distributor should make it a much easier grab for a family afternoon, or a warm-up before the heavier boxes come out. If you are rounding up players for a casual session, you can find a game night near you on Backseat Gamer.
