Spooky Tower hides a clever trick. The box itself is the dice tower. Repos Production's new family game builds a working clock tower straight into the packaging, so every roll clatters down through the haunted house before you act. It is the kind of tactile gimmick that gets a table talking, and the game underneath is a tidy 15-minute filler for 2-5 players, ages 8 and up.

Set up your group for freeThe setup is a ghost hunt. On your turn you roll the dice, and the result decides which building cards are up for grabs. From there you face one simple but nagging decision: claim a fresh card from the house, or flip cards you already hold to reveal what is hidden on their backs. Those backs might show a ghost you have captured, a handy bonus effect like a grimoire, clock, reroll or amulet, or simply a disappointment. Win by capturing five ghosts or by collecting three amulet fragments.
That push-and-pull between grabbing more and cashing in what you have is the whole game, and it keeps things moving without ever stalling. Repos credits the design to Jonathan Favre-Godal and Corentin Lebrat, with art by Apolline Etienne, and the whole thing packs back into its tower for the shelf.
Run game nights? Backseat Gamer handles RSVPs, waitlists, date polling, and game voting so you can focus on playing.
Start organising for freeSpooky Tower landed in shops in April, and if you want to try before you buy, it is already free to play in your browser on Board Game Arena. It is an easy one to reach for when you need a quick opener or something to play with younger gamers. If you are lining up your next session, find a game night near you and bring the ghosts along.
