If your game night ever includes younger players, here is one to circle on the calendar. The Mystery Inc. gang lands on the table this June, chasing a jewel thief through a masked ball in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Masquerade.

Set up your group for freeIt is a social-deduction game for 3 to 5 players from Resurrection Games, the studio behind the recent DC bag-builder DC Brave and Bold, so it comes from people who know their way around a licensed box. The set-up is pure Saturday-morning cartoon: the famous Coolsville Diamond has been pinched during a grand masquerade ball, and because everyone is masked and in costume, nobody knows who is really who. Players move around the board gathering clues and unmasking suspects to work out who took it before the thief slips away.
That masked-ball theme is a neat fit for a hidden-identity game, giving the deduction a reason to exist rather than bolting it on. The suspects are a parade of classic Scooby-Doo villains in fancy dress, including the Lady Vampire and the Fish Freak.

It is up for preorder now at around $37.95 (about £30) ahead of a June release. If you are putting a regular family game day together, you can set one up and find players on Backseat Gamer.
