If you have been curious about tabletop wargaming but put off by the cost, One Page Rules just made the case harder to ignore. The free-to-play wargaming platform has announced Worlds Beyond Brawl, a crowdfunding campaign bringing together 18 independent 3D-printing creators to produce over 500 printable miniature files across 53 skirmish warbands. You will need a resin printer (or a friend with one) to use them, but the rules and army lists are completely free.

Find events near youThe campaign launches 12 May on MyMiniFactory Frontiers and feeds directly into OPR's two main skirmish games: Grimdark Future: Firefight (sci-fi) and Age of Fantasy: Skirmish (fantasy). Both rule sets are free to download, designed to fit on a single page, with army lists available through the web-based Army Forge tool.
The engine behind the campaign is OPR's Compatibility Programme. Third-party miniature makers submit their ranges, OPR screens for quality and IP concerns, then generates official army lists hosted on Army Forge. "People don't want to buy models if they can't use them in a game," OPR marketing head Jefferson Thacker explained. Proceeds are split evenly between all 18 creators regardless of size, meaning backing the campaign supports small studios as much as established ones.
