Munchkin's grimdark crossover keeps growing. Steve Jackson Games has revealed Munchkin Warhammer 40,000: Grudges and Gore, a 112-card expansion that drops three of the spikiest factions in the 41st millennium onto the Munchkin table: Adeptus Custodes, Leagues of Votann, and the always cheerful World Eaters.

See how it worksIf you've never played the franchise, Munchkin is a fast, mean card game for 3-6 players where you kick down doors, fight monsters, and screw over your friends with curses and items, all in about an hour. It's sold well over 12 million copies since 2001 and remains Steve Jackson Games's biggest seller. The Warhammer 40K version drops elves and dwarves for Space Marines and traitor legions, and Grudges and Gore brings the total faction count across the 40K core set and six expansions to 18.
The new set is designed by Will Schoonover and illustrated by John Kovalic, the artist who has drawn every Munchkin set since the original. Standout cards include the +4 Bonus Autoch-Pattern Bolter, a Level 6 White Scar monster, and a Blood for the Blood God card that should surprise nobody. Retail price sits at $24, with Amazon UK listings and the Munchkin shop showing pre-orders ahead of release at the end of April.

Find events near youIt's a daft, easy crossover for any group that has 40K-curious players who would rather laugh at a Shokk Attack Gun than spend three hours moving plastic across a table. If your group needs another reason to meet up this month, find a game night near you.
