Mörk Org Turns the Office Into a Mörk Borg Nightmare

If your worst day at the office involved a jammed photocopier, Mörk Org wants to raise you a possessed one. The new tabletop RPG from UK micro-publisher Beyond Cataclysm drops players into a soul-crushing corporate hellscape of endless paperwork, Casual Fridays and middle managers who literally want to drink your blood. It is out now, and it is every bit as bleak and funny as that sounds.

Mörk Org is a hack of Mörk Borg, the cult Swedish doom-metal RPG whose stripped-back rules and gorgeously ugly art spawned a whole family of spin-offs. Where the original marches doomed adventurers through a dying fantasy world, Mörk Org turns that same rules-light engine on modern work and, in its own words, "all that capitalism has taken from us, body and soul." Helpfully for anyone with an existing collection, it is cross-compatible with Mörk Borg, Cy_Borg and Pirate Borg, so you can fold the office horror straight into a game you already run.

Written by CM Lowry and Dave Emmerson, it comes as a sewn-bound hardback from Beyond Cataclysm, a UK indie that prints interesting books and supports charities as it goes. The book is £36 on its own, or there is a £60 bundle with a 50-sheet character pad, an A4 office map and a 32 Terrible Things zine to throw at your players. It earned its keep on Kickstarter first, raising more than nine times its £3,000 goal before heading to shops. If your group fancies clocking in somewhere you will never clock out, round up a table.
